This is really well written! I like the parallel between Hotch fixing the house and trying to fix himself, so to speak, and how you gradually reveal what happened. Gotta love Reid arguing definitions with a gun in his face ♥ (Well, gotta love Reid in general.) And it's nice that you managed to end it on a hopeful note, even though nothing is the same. :)
